Amazon on Tuesday said an extra fifteen Boeing 737-800 cargo aircraft from associate GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). These will combine the five Boeing 737-800’s already rented from GECAS, helping the e-commerce giant continue growing its air fleet so it can accelerate Prime deliveries.

Amazon says it will open more air facilities in 2019, including at Fort Worth Alliance Airport, Wilmington Air Park, and Chicago Rockford International Airport. Meanwhile, the leading Air Hub in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will open in 2021.

This job has come with fresh challenges for the corporation. Pilots working for Prime Air have whined about lousy pay and weak working states. Additionally, FedEx this month chose not to renew its Express air shipping contract with Amazon, a move widely regarded as a reaction to Amazon enlarging its shipping community.

The retailer Among those 767 freighters flying for Amazon crashed near Houston in February, killing the three people aboard. Amazon expects to have 50 of these wide-body freighters flying to get it at the end of 2020, a spokeswoman said.
