Amazon Prime Day Is Getting Close, Let’s Take A Look At It!

Amazon Prime Day is the annual shopping holiday that’s exclusive to Prime members. Historically, Prime Day has launched in mid-July, and unlike Black Friday or Cyber Monday, Prime Day deals last around 36 hours. Amazon claims that Prime Day is more extensive than Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and based it off of what we saw last year, it’s totally possible that the company may pull this off this year. You may not find absolutely everything on your wish list through the Prime Day discounts, but it’s the ideal opportunity to stock up on gifts during the summer months.

The shopping event is exclusive for members of Amazon’s Prime service, which offers free 2-day delivery on millions of items, accessibility to Prime Video, photo storage, and even more. An Amazon Prime membership now costs $119 annually. However, you can get a free 30-day trial to get all the advantages without spending any money.

When does it take place?

Amazon has not announced the specific date of the big day; however, we can take a pretty good guess based on past years. Last year Prime Day went on Monday, July 16 at 3 PM ET and lasted for 36 hours. If we had to make a guess, we would feel that Amazon will kick off it on July 15, and probably run for as much as two days.

How does this work?

Prime Day is not quite as straightforward as some other big shopping days, There are a few things that you’ll want to keep in mind, especially if you are interested in finding deals on particular products. Amazon released sales in batches every three hours Last calendar year. This season, some of the promotions are based around six-hour blocks, so it is possible the company has extended the times each deal will be available to adapt for the more extended event.

Other retailers also participate in Prime Day

As Amazon Prime Day grows in size and popularity, more retailers start to join in on the fun, too. Odds are that you’ll see Best Buy, Target, and other big-box retailers joining in on the online pleasure. Last year Walmart joined in on Prime Day by offering free two-day transport without subscription fees and complimentary same-day pickup on qualifying items. They also discounted a wide array of merchandise that included TVs, Google Home devices, kitchen appliances, laptops, and a lot more.

We expect this year which more retailers will take part in the July event and can also expand the one-day sale to a week’s worth of reductions. It’s been seen Amazon aggressively price-match other retailers in the past, and expect the same will happen if a person tries to beat its pricing annually.
